Rename chats to something you will recognize next month: topic + date beats “New chat.”
Use history and search (including semantic search, if your deployment offers it) when you remember what you asked but not which thread it was in.
Bookmark threads you return to often: standing procedures, recurring report formats, or long-running projects.
If share is enabled, only invite people who are cleared for the content of that thread. Remove access when the project ends.
Archive hides old work without destroying it; delete may be permanent. Follow retention rules before deleting anything that could be discoverable.
When a conversation goes in circles, start a new thread with a tighter prompt rather than stacking corrections forever.
