Trash and recovery
Flash PD often uses soft delete: items disappear from the main view but can be restored for a period, depending on your agency's settings.
What might be recoverable
- Cases (if your role allows)
- Evidence files and folders
- Chats with the investigator assistant
Your trash or deleted items screen (names vary) lists what you can still bring back.
What to do
- If something vanished, check trash before panicking.
- If you need an item restored and cannot, open a ticket with support or your admin with case name, approximate date, and what was deleted.
Permanent deletion
Permanent removal may be restricted to a few roles. Do not use it unless records policy requires it and a supervisor agrees.
