Trash and recovery

Flash PD often uses soft delete: items disappear from the main view but can be restored for a period, depending on your agency's settings.

What might be recoverable

  • Cases (if your role allows)
  • Evidence files and folders
  • Chats with the investigator assistant

Your trash or deleted items screen (names vary) lists what you can still bring back.

What to do

  1. If something vanished, check trash before panicking.
  2. If you need an item restored and cannot, open a ticket with support or your admin with case name, approximate date, and what was deleted.

Permanent deletion

Permanent removal may be restricted to a few roles. Do not use it unless records policy requires it and a supervisor agrees.
